Best Abs Workout For Women - Are You Doing This?

In this article, I am going to teach you one of the best abs workout for women that will tone and firm your belly much quicker than most other exercises.

Belly fat is unattractive and is good reason to wear loose fitting clothing. After all, who would want to show off unsightly belly fat?

Women often build up more fat in this area of the body than men and it can sometimes seem like a hopeless battle to get rid of it. You might know what I'm talking about if you have ever tried dieting or exercise to get rid of it.

However, there is an exercise that can sometimes knock out the belly fat fairly quick. The exercise I'm referring to is called the bicycle exercise. And no, you will not have to go out and buy a bicycle in order to do it.

If you are not familiar with this, it basically involves you on your back doing a bicycle motion with your legs while you alternate your arms.

It sounds rather difficult, but once you get the rhythm, you will be able to do it on a daily basis. And the exercise not only works out your abdominal, but also your legs and thighs.

You now have an abs workout for women that will not only tone your abs, but also burn off fat if done regularly. Remember that with every exercise plan, there must be a good diet plan. This means eating lots of leafy green vegetables and drinking lots of water.

Next, did you know that there is an actual plan for Getting Awesome Abs [http://www.rockhardabsareeasy.info/]?

Biceps Toning Workout for Women

Most women I know, are typically afraid of doing any type of strength training exercise such as a biceps toning workout, for fear of building up too much muscle. The belief that strength training turn women into blocks of muscles, is a big misconception. In order to build muscles, one needs a healthy dose of testosterone, which is a male hormone. Women do not have much testosterone, and as a result, women do not bulk up as easily as men do. Therefore, if you are a woman, you should not be afraid of losing your female appearance, when you do your biceps toning workout.

If you want to get rid of the fat you build around your upper arms, it is important that you firm up your biceps through proper biceps toning workouts. Biceps workouts should be done, in addition to your regular cardio workouts. The cardio workout will help rid your body of the extra fat, and the biceps toning workout will help give your upper arms a toned look. Also, biceps muscles require extra calories as they grow. As a result, your biceps will be burning fat from your body.

There are several biceps toning workouts you can do. Examples of biceps exercises include concentration curls, hammer curls, barbell curls, high pulley curls, low pulley curls, etc. Most of these biceps exercises require that you either have a set of dumbbells, or that you have access to a gym facility. However, if you have a resistance band, you should be able to work out your biceps effectively.

Biceps Toning Workout for Women

If you have a resistance band and a Swiss ball, try the following biceps toning workout: lie down on the Swiss ball, and make sure your feet are flat on the floor, approximately shoulder-width apart. Roll down slightly on the Swiss ball, such that only your upper back is resting on the ball. Prior to taking this position, lock the resistance band firmly into place. Begin curling the resistance band, while keeping your upper arms relatively parallel to each other. Allow your arms to fully extend at the finishing point of each movement. Maintain a proper breathing pattern throughout the workout. Do this exercise for one full minute. Then take a very short break, and repeat the biceps exercise again 9 more times.

To get the best results out of your biceps workout, you should push yourself to failure. That means, you should keep curling the resistance band until you run out of strength. Take small breaks throughout this strength training exercise routine.

Good luck!

A Workout for Women Who Want to Be Toned

I am constantly amazed at the dearth of quality information on the internet available to women about fitness routines. The vast majority of blogs seem to be targeted at men with most of their content focusing on how get bigger muscles. I've gotten a ton of requests for information that targets women and most of the women I know are not concerned with building large bulky muscles. Most of the women I know want to have a slim, toned, yet feminine look and the truth is that does take a slightly different approach. Below I've developed a basic overview of a weekly workout schedule that women may want to consider in order to achieve that toned yet feminine look.
Strategic Cardio Workouts
Strategic cardio workouts as outlined below will help you achieve three important things:
  1. These are effect fat burning workouts that will get your fat burners turned on
  2. Strategic cardio will help you develop toned and sexy calves and thighs.
  3. Strategic cardio will burn more calories during the week to help you lose weight
Strategic cardio should be done 3 times per week. Start with a slow, steady pace. Jog for 10-15 minutes to get your body warmed up and ready to go hard. Then do 6-8 interval sprints. Interval sprints are intense but brief sprints followed by a slow paced recovery. Sprint as hard as you can for 20 seconds and then walk for 60 seconds. If these are too difficult, then extend your recovery time to 90 seconds. Eventually they will get easier. Interval sprints spike HGH levels in your bloodstream. HGH is the hormone that tells your body to start using fat as an energy source. Once you've released the HGH by doing the interval sprints, jump back on the treadmill for a 20-30 minutes steady cardio jog. The HGH in your bloodstream will ensure that your body uses fat as the primary source of energy for this longer run. Doing workouts like this three times a week will really help get rid of any fat hiding your muscle tone.
Weight Training Workouts
We will use weight training to help firm up and tone your muscles. We will NOT be using weights to build bigger, bulkier muscles. You will want to do weight training 2-3 times per week.
Contrary to popular belief, low weight-high repetition workouts will not give you lean toned muscles. In fact, recent studies have shown that low weight-high repetition training can be just as effective at building muscle as high weight-low repetition training. To really bring out muscle tone you need to focus on strong muscle contractions, but you want to avoid too much fatigue in the muscle. It is the muscle fatigue of high repetition training that tells your muscles to get bigger. To do this, you want to focus on the 3-5 repetition range doing 5 sets for each muscle group. For example, if you want to improve the tone of your biceps then you would do 5 sets of dumbbell curls with repetitions of 5-4-4-3-2. You would want to increase the weight for each set. If you start with 10 lb dumbbells for the first set, then you would finish at 16 or 16 lb dumbbells on the last set. The first two sets should be pretty easy. The last set should take a concerted effort. Give your muscles plenty of time to recover between sets. Remember, you don't want too much muscular fatigue; you simply want your muscle to do strong contractions with heavy weights. Lifting this way will actually harden the muscle by making it more dense. By avoiding fatigue you will avoid bulky muscle growth; this is the most important tip usually missing from workouts for women.
Combined Strategic Cardio and Weight Training
If you are unable to work out more than three times per week then you can combine the weight training and cardio workout. To do so, keep your jogging warm up to 10 minutes. Then complete your weight training routine, but do not do any leg lifts. Then complete 6 interval sprints followed by 10-15 minutes of steady state cardio. This combination will allow you to reap the benefits of burning fat and improving muscle tone in fewer workouts per week.
The best workouts for women are those that teach you how to use cardio to burn fat and how to use weight training to build muscle tone. By using the above tips for establishing an exercise routine women who want to be toned will be well on their way to achieving that slim, sexy, look.
A final word on diet...
No matter how much effort you put into your workout routines, you can never outwork a bad diet. To really see the results of your hard work you need to ensure that you are not consuming more calories than you burn in a week. Check out some of my other articles for more advice on getting control of your diet.

Abs Workout For Women - Four Easy Exercises

Abs workout for women is only a part of a total workout. To really show off your abs you need to look good all over. But, to get those great abs that make your friends jealous here are four easy to do, but tough on abs exercises.
In my opinion, all you really need to get your whole body ripped is a set of dumbbells, a stability ball and your own bodyweight. You do not need a gym load of equipment to build strength and look good.
Today we are going to talk about four exercises and all you need is your own bodyweight. The four exercises are:
1. Stability ball crunches
2. Leg rises
3. Leg scissors
4. Reverse Crunch
Stability Ball Crunches
The stability ball is great, because it supports your back and you use more muscle to keep the ball still. When you first use a stability ball you will wonder where the name comes from, you will feel anything but stable. But, with a little practice you get the hang of it and it is great for the midsection of the body.
To do a crunch on a ball, lay across the ball with the small of your back on the ball. Now you tighten your abs and raise your shoulders, reaching towards your knees with your arms. Only raise your shoulders slightly and lower, keeping the abs tight.
Start with as many reps as you can comfortably do and work up to 20 reps. Then you can add another set of 20 reps. It will take you awhile to work up to that many reps so, don't push it.
Leg Rises
Lay flat on your back on the floor, legs straight. It is best to use a mat to support your body. Place your hands, palms down, under your butt to support your back. Now slowly raise your legs 12 inches off the floor and lower until your feet are about 1 inch off the floor. That is one rep.
These are tough, so just do five or six reps in the beginning. Once you reach 10 to 12 reps, rest for 1 minute and complete another set. This exercise will work on that little tummy bulge below the belt that everyone wants to get lose.
Leg Scissors
Another lower ab and inner thigh exercise is the leg scissors. While in the same starting position as above bring the legs up until the bottom of your feet are towards the ceiling. Next, spread the legs straight to the sides, as far as you can comfortable go, and return to the legs straight towards the ceiling.
That is one rep. Work towards 10 reps and start another set.
Reverse Crunch
The last exercise is the reverse crunch. This is rather tough, but will bring great results.
Begin the exercise with the feet pointing towards the ceiling as in the leg scissors exercise. Lift the butt off the floor, legs still pointing towards the ceiling. Return to the beginning position. This is one rep. Start with 6 reps, if you can, and build to 10. Again, when this becomes easy start another rep.
The above four exercises will provide a great abs workout for women, and guys too.

This is for good reason because this is not just the latest craze or the latest piece of crap fitness equipment that you might stumble across on some home shopping network. No, this is the ancient kettlebell which has been around long before us and has withstood the test of time for over three centuries and done so for good reason. Best Fat Burning Fitness For Women!
If you are wanting to torch the body fat and turn your metabolism into a rocket engine in order to give you the beach body that you couldn't have dreamed up better yourself then you have got to learn how to execute the overhead kettlebell snatch lift. Ladies this lift, like all kettlebell lifts, is very dynamic in nature, but is known as the Czar of all kettlebell lifts. The snatch lift is great for your hips, glutes, hamstrings, back, shoulders, and the rest of your big core muscles. This lift will not only give you a terrific level of strength to kick start a healthy lifestyle, but it will give you the cardiovascular conditioning of an elite level athlete!
Now if you are going to get the body you desire the most then you have got to put in the time. The key to getting the results you want the most has to do with smart training. The kettlebell snatch involves you standing with your feet at about shoulder width distance apart in length and pulling the bell from between your legs up to above your head in one smooth movement. This pulling and elevation of the bell involves you having to engage your hips and knees in a state of forceful flexion and then extension in order to generate the momentum to get the bell pulled up to a level just lateral to your head. This level is known as the "high pull" position and should mimic the action of you "pulling back on a bow" like with a bow and arrow. Once the bell is at this point you will then complete the lift by vertically punching your fist towards the sky.
Ladies, if you are wanting a serious fat loss program that will not only change your body, but also your lifestyle then you have just found it. Take the time to learn more about the snatch lift and other great kettlebell drills by accessing more of my articles on the subject for free. Running Stairs - Cardio Workout For Women to Lose Weight Fast

Running Stairs Use To Be Fun Not A Workout
Remember when you were little and running up and down the stairs to see who was the fastest was just something that was fun to do. Never mind how many stairs or how tired you would be later, all you knew at that point is how much fun you where having with your friends. Now that you are an adult walking or running stairs seems to be more of a workout than anything.
Cardio Workout For Women
If you ever want to give yourself a full body workout and achieve a slim and sexy look then a running stairs cardio workout is for you. Ever notice how great and tone women who play sports look no matter what they eat? From soccer, track, volleyball, to basketball these women have to run up and down stairs several times per day for three to four days a week. Running stairs definitely kicks butt and melts away fat.
Running Stairs Burns Fat Fast
Running stairs is definitely not the easiest thing in the world to do nor is it really on too many women's to do list. However this is exactly why you should be going outside or in the gymnasium and doing them. Normally the only people you find going up and down stairs for a cardio workout are usually top athletes and other people you assume where already in shape before hitting the stairs. This cardio is hard to do but can be done in a short period of time since it can be done as interval training.
The Proper Technique for Running Stairs
1. Step on every other step
2. Use your entire body while running
3. Make sure you use the muscles in your quadriceps
4. Run on your tip toes
5. Make sure you use your arms to help with movement
Start Small and Work Your Way Up
Don't be in a rush to run up the entire gym when you first start out. Start with one flight of stairs and increase your speed as you become more accustomed. As you get in better shape and start increasing the difficulty of your stair workout. This could mean running more and more flights of stairs or simply running them faster. The more you do them the easier they will become and you will be getting fitter. Don't just use running stairs cardio for your workout but add them in your daily routine as well. Make sure you take the stairs at work or when you park your car in the garage.

Killer Body For Women - The Absolute Best Upper Body Workout For Women in a Single Exercise!

Upper body strength training for women tends to spur a lot of misconceptions on how women's bodies develop when working out. Questions pop up relating to whether or not women will get big bulky muscles, or a manly chest. These are not true for 98% of all women and for the remaining 2% the rules don't apply because they are getting outside help from some chemical enhancement or other outside agent anyway. Check out the following single exercise that is the best for helping you to develop great upper body muscles.
I would like to introduce to you the overhead kettlebell seesaw press. This particular exercise is a tremendous upper body exercise for women. To perform this exercise you will have to have a pair of moderately heavy kettlebells of equal weight. Yes, you can do this with dumbells, but kettlebells present a different challenge and much more involved effort when it comes to overhead pressing.
If you don't believe me then simply attempt lifting the same weight dumbell and then a kettlebell of equal weight and you will quickly see what I am talking about. To perform this upper body exercise, stand and properly clean both kettlebells to your chest. Next, press one bell overhead. The next step is very important. As you lower the first kettlebell press the second bell before the first is at rest. There is no pause between presses. This presents a much different challenge when doing this with the kettlebells and your muscular endurance is challenged unlike anything else you have ever tried. Try to perform 5 to 8 alternating presses with the kettlebells in continuous fashion.
If you don't think this upper body exercise is good for women then you haven't been working out the way you should have been. Remember ladies that anyone can train hard, but only the best train smart!

The Best Fat Burning Workout For Women

Are you in search of the best fat burning workout for women? If so, then you will probably be disappointed at knowing that there is no such thing as "best" although there are some workouts that are better than others. Some of the most popular workouts are super-sets, circuits, intervals, and even body weight workouts. The great thing about these four types of workouts is that they are all focused on people who want to get a quality workout in a short amount of time. If you are a busy mom then some of these workouts can even be done at home. Whatever your circumstance may be there is a workout for every woman.
Body Weight Workouts
Some people would argue that using your body-weight is the best fat burning workout for women. This is a big claim to make but using your own body weight for resistance does have its advantages. A good thing about using your body-weight is that you will never need a single iron weight because your body provides all the resistance. So whether you are a mom at home or a business woman at a hotel room you can do these workouts wherever you are at. Some would even argue that using your own weight is a lot harder than using free weights. Whether this is true or not the only important thing is that you can always do a workout without a gym.
Interval Training Workouts
Interval training is also great because it is an amazing fat burning workout for women. Intervals can be done at home if you have a treadmill. If you are at a hotel room then you are also in luck because 99 percent of hotel rooms now have treadmills. The awesome thing about doing intervals is that they only take about 20 minutes to complete. In those 20 minutes you will shed more belly fat than with any other cardio program.
As you can see, there are plenty of good workouts for women. Some other ones to consider are super-set training and circuit training. These workouts are good because they help you build muscle and you build cardiovascular endurance at the same time.

The 15 Minute Workout For Women at Home

It's 100% true! It is entirely possible to acquire an excellent workout without ever setting foot in a gym or spending money on expensive, bulky home workout equipment. You do not need elaborate equipment, the money for an expensive gym membership, or extra time to drive to and from a work out center.
You can achieve excellent fat burning results, increased aerobic benefits and fantastic body toning by utilizing exercises that burn fat and produce dramatic results. Contrary to the information presented in the media, you can also do your workout at home with no equipment required.
Maintaining a successful workout can often be difficult. However, the fact remains that to reap all of the health and aesthetics benefits that working out consistently will provide, it is essential to allow nothing to interfere with your progress. Major factors that contribute to not working out consistently are:
o Perceived lack of time
o Lack of money
o Lack of knowledge
With the workout for women at home, those three obstacles will no longer be an issue. Knowing which exercises to choose, how to most effectively complete them in the least amount of time and having the option of doing the exercises at home without expensive equipment or a gym membership will facilitate consistency as you begin your at home workout.
Before we get to the sample 15 minute workout, we must first go over some very important, but simple workout tips.
Choose These Exercises
The following exercises are excellent for maximizing the potential of burning fat, sculpting lean muscle, and increasing stamina. Exercises that utilize the greatest number of muscles and allow for a full range of motion will optimize your exercise efforts. The following exercises are the most powerful choices for increasing the fat burning, body sculpting benefits and decreasing the time necessary for an effective workout.
o Lunges and all variations
o Inverted rows
o Squats
o Squat Thrusts
o Push-ups and all variations
o Chin-ups, assisted chin-ups, and all variations
o Burpees
o Planks, side plank
o Mountain climbers
Choose This Format
o Never sit down. Always remain standing as this will allow you to burn more calories than sitting, and every bit helps if you want to get more results in less time.
o Keep your rest periods to a minimum. When performing circuits, try to keep the rest between circuits at one to two minutes.
o Over time, make sure you attempt more challenging exercises. This is one of the best ways to keep getting more results in less time.
o Try using different training techniques: for some sets perform the repetitions as fast as possible while maintaining control and perfect form. Other times perform the repetitions very slow and controlled.
o Make sure you improve your performance consistently. This can be accomplished by either performing more repetitions for an exercise, using more advanced exercises, performing more circuits, or decreasing the rest periods between exercises and/or circuits.
Sample 15 Minute Home Workout for Women
-Jumping Jacks x 50
-Squats x 15
-Elevated Push-ups x 12
-Beginner Inverted Row x 12
-Crossover Lunge x 10 each leg
-Plank x 30 seconds
-Squat Thrusts x 10
Perform that circuit one exercise right after the other for 15 minutes straight. Rest only as needed and try to complete as many circuits as possible in that 15 minute period.
Remember, you can also perform some repetitions fast, and other times perform them very slow to allow for variety and a different training effect.
Also, the next time you repeat that workout, make sure you improve your performance by using one of the previously mentioned methods.
That sample 15 minute workout will allow you to burn more body fat and sculpt lean, sexy muscle much more effectively than traditional gym workouts that take 30 minutes or more to complete!

Stop Trying To Figure Out Women And Start Acting

I receive so many emails from guys who complain that they can never figure out women and it's driving them crazy. Many of them want to know what women want, why women do this, why they react in this manner and why they say one thing and want something else etc.
So many guys are fixated in the notion that they "need to learn everything about women before they can ever have a relationship with them". I am sure if there was a door marked "Hot Women" and a door marked "Lecture About Hot Women" most guys would line up for the lecture.
While I am all for us trying to figure and seize each other up, it's one thing to be curious or want to learn more about women and a whole other thing when this "need to know" becomes an excuse for none action on your part.
I know many guys who can recite Men are From Mars Women are From Venus but with very little insight into what needs to be done in the present to create a more fulfilling relationship with a woman. In many ways it's like decorating the walls of your prison cells and sitting there wondering why you are not happy inside your cell.
Over the years (personal and work experience), I've found out that beneath the need to figure out women is a intense fear of women and what they represent in the minds of the men trying to figure them out. This fear of women seems like a silly thing to even consider and very few men would want to admit their fear of women, even to themselves. But think about this, why does the mere thought of approaching a woman paralyze many men? Even worse, women's natural response to men who fear them (to avoid or reject them) tends to reinforce and intensify men's fear of women's power to validate or reject them.
My advice for men is stop trying to understand women and start getting to understand and figure yourselves out first. What freaks you out is not "women", instead what freaks you out is your own fear of your femininity (yes, you got a feminine side). You need to get in touch with your feminine energy to really be able to get into a woman's mindset.
Let me make it very clear about "in touch with your feminine energy." There is being in touch with the underdeveloped aspects of your feminine energy (compliant, clingy, needy, moody, defensive, anxious, moody, gossipy, timid, superficial, blame others for your problems, do not take responsibility for your actions etc). And there is being in touch with the developed aspects of your feminine energy (nurturing, creative, intuitive, receptive, relating intimately and showing concern for each other's feelings and well-being etc).
But of course, you must also be in touch with the developed aspects of your masculine energy as well. Your developed masculine energy is what prompts you to action, to take risks, to challenge, explore and take charge. The underdeveloped aspects of your masculine energy on the other hand makes you sarcastic, manipulative, aggressive confrontational, argumentative, antagonistic, ruthlessness and destructive.
You need the balance of developed masculine and feminine energies to overcome your fears and move on to create the relationship with women that is yet beyond your grasp.

Exercise and a healthy lifestyle is a crucial part of life and keeping active can make you feel great. Women take on many different types of sports and activities to get the body and health they desire and part of the process is the clothes they work out in.
Workout apparel can help make exercise easy, with no restrictions or bulky fabrics.
There is so much available for the modern active woman to choose from to enhance their chosen sport or activity.
Quality is key and a higher price is often a clear hint at higher quality of fabrics. The more detail and time that has been put into your apparel, the better it is going to work for you body. For example, clothing that is streamlined to fit the body perfectly and to repel sweat will ultimately improve your comfort during your workout. You want to feel like the clothes are part of you and so looking for professional, detail-driven sportswear is a great move. The most important factor of your workout apparel is its breathability as we all know we sweat quite a bit during a tough workout. Fabrics that draw the sweat from the skin and release/evaporate it into the atmosphere are definitely a top pick. These fabrics often contain polypropylene or fabrics such as coolmax and supplex. Also look out for tops and shorts with a mesh layer that stops the thick outer fabric from clinging to your skin, keeping you cool and supported.
Workout apparel comes in all shapes and sizes but the most common would likely be standard spandex infused sports tops, bras and pants. Yoga pants and form fitting leggings are very popular in the gym as they allow flexibility and do not restrict movement. They are also made of comfortable fabrics that do not rub or chafe the skin.
Workout apparel can also be designed for outdoor activities such as hiking or climbing. Many women these days take to the outdoors and enjoy exploring their local mountains or hills. For this, hiking boots and waterproof outerwear are top choices. The quality end of outdoor active wear always boasts durability. Top quality women's apparel will always use the most appropriate waterproof or sweat resistant fabrics to protect your body depending on the climate.
Another top choice for women is a supportive sports to keep themselves protected during exercise. Good quality sports bras are usually classified for the activity you intend on using it for. For example, high impact running, moderate impact and casual/low impact. This allows you much more choice and a guide in choosing the correct item of clothing for the sport they are interested in. Try to avoid cheaper, more general sports bras to get the best support.
One obvious and very important apparel for active women is footwear. The correct shoe can make a lot of difference in terms of performance and comfort. Good quality sports shoe manufacturers pay a lot of attention to detail in the science of creating the most supportive shoe for you activity. There is a lot of difference between a running shoe and a hiking boot and each is designed to make the chosen activity easier on the joints and body overall.

Slim: fast

As little as 15-20 minutes of intensive resistance exercise can help to flatten your belly in 45 days, say researchers from Southern Illinois University. “The first set of an exercise switches on the hormones that control your metabolism, and doing any more than three sets won’t help,” says study author, Erik Kirk. We got John Beall, a former US Marine and personal trainer, to devise a fat-burning technique that has you training for 20 minutes a day, five days a week. “The workouts are made up of bodyweight exercises done circuit-style [without rest between moves] to raise your heart rate," says Beall. Do Giant Set 1 and Giant Set 2 on alternate days.
Speed up your weight loss with one of these fat-shredding supplements.
GIANT SET 1
Warm-up with 2-3mins running. Do each exercise for 45 secs, rest 15 secs, then move to the next exercise. Rest 1 min after you’ve done them all once, then repeat the circuit twice more.
1A Squats
Glutes, quads, calves, abs
1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart.
2. Bend your hips and knees. You can stop when your thighs are parallel to the floor. The deeper you go, the more muscles you’ll activate, helping to burn more calories. Rise to the start position.
1B Lunges
Glutes, quads, calves, abs
1. Stand with your feet roughly hip-width apart.
2. Take a big step forward with your right foot and bend your right knee until your thigh is parallel to the floor and your knee is at 90 degrees. Reverse the motion, stepping back into the starting position. Repeat with your right leg.
1C Mountain Climber
Abs, glutes, quads, hamstrings
1. Kneel on all fours, your hands in line with, but slightly wider than, your shoulders.
2. Straighten your left leg and lift your right knee toward your chest. You should be on the balls of your feet, like a sprinter in the starting blocks. Now switch leg positions as many times as you can.
1D Flutter Kicks
Core, quads, glutes, hamstrings
1. Lie flat on your back and put your hands under your glutes.
2. Raise your legs 15cm off the ground and hold. Raise the left leg to 45 degrees while your right leg is stationary, and alternate your legs. “The kicking motion recruits different muscles in your core, challenging it to stay balanced and fry extra calories,” says Beall.
1E Bicycle Crunches
Core, abs
1. Lie with your feet in the air and knees bent to 90 degrees. Lace your fingers behind your head. Bring your knees into your chest.
2. Straighten your right leg and turn your upper body to the left, bringing the right elbow towards the left knee. Switch sides, pumping your legs back and forth. Giant set 1 done.
GIANT SET 2
Warm-up with 2-3 mins running. Do each exercise for 45 secs, rest 15 secs, then move to the next exercise. Rest 1 min after you’ve done them all once, then repeat the circuit twice more.
2A Underhand Grip Pull-Ups
Lats, biceps, forearms, abs
1. You’ll need a pull-up bar for this one. Grab it with a shoulder-width underhand grip and hang with your elbows straight. “Adjust your grip if you’re struggling,” says Beall.
2. Bend your elbows to pull your chest to the bar. Peer over the bar for a second, then slowly lower yourself to the start position.
2B Press-Ups
Shoulders, chest, triceps, abs
1. For a solid chest, stick with the old reliable. Lie face down with your hands shoulder-width apart. Keep your arms straight, but not locked.
2. Bend your elbows to lower yourself to the floor. Then straighten your elbows to push back up to the start.
2C Chair Dips
Triceps, abs
1. Hold on to the seat behind you. Straighten your legs in front, then prop them up on another chair.
2. Lift yourself off the seat, then bend your elbows to lower your body. Straighten your arms to push yourself back to the start position. “You’ll work the biggest muscles in your arms, burning the maximum number of calories,” says Beall.
2D Crunch Twists
Core
1. Sit with your legs bent at the knee and raised a few centimetres off the ground.
2. Place your hands together, and reach over and touch the ground on the right side with your elbow. Rotate and touch the ground on the left. "Keep your core tight and your hands together to maximise your results," says Beall.
2E Wall Sit
Quads, hamstrings, glutes, core
1. Lean against a wall with your legs in front of you. “This keeps your back flat and places the stress on your quads,” says Beall.
2. Slide down until your knees are at about 90 degrees, and hold for 45 secs, keeping the abs contracted. Giant set 2 done.

What Upper Body Workout for Women Works?

There is so much misinformation out there, and so many myths about building muscle for women, that it is no wonder that so many women are frightened to pick up a weight. No woman wants huge "guns," nor does she want to hurt herself in the gym, but that doesn't mean that an upper body workout for women is not a good idea.
The Benefits of an Upper Body Workout for Women
Doctors will tell you that the best thing you can do for your bones is to take care of your muscles. Weight-bearing exercise is vital to a woman's health later in life, especially once osteoporosis starts to set in. Most cardio work, such as cycling, walking, or swimming, just doesn't provide enough support for the bones, and that is why lifting weights is a good idea.
The other reason why an upper body workout for women is so important is because although muscle weighs more than fat, it actually helps you to burn more calories. The more muscle (and therefore less fat) you have, the higher your resting metabolic rate will be.
What Can You Do?
Although you might think that you would have to spend hours doing bench presses in order to see any results, that is not true at all. There are many different ways to get an upper body workout for women that won't pit you up against all the men in the gym. For instance, small hand weights are great and you can use them at home, keeping in mind that you should be challenging yourself all the time.
If you keep lifting the same light weights, day after day, with more and more reps, you will be doing nothing more than making yourself feel better. It is important that you continually raise the weight so that you challenge your muscles. This is the only way to build muscle.
Nutritional Needs
Most of us don't get nearly the amount of protein that we need to build muscle mass, and that is certainly true for women. Therefore, if you are going to start working out for the first time or you are just going to make an effort to put on more muscle, then you will need to properly evaluate your diet. It is important that you have sufficient protein to build muscle, or all of your hard work will go to waste.
Do You Need a Personal Trainer?
If you watch "The Biggest Loser" on television, then you can certainly see the value of having a personal trainer, but in reality a workout session is not at all like that. Most personal trainers exist only for the purpose of making sure that the client turns up for their workout. You might find that self-motivation is a much better guide for you, and certainly a lot cheaper. There is a lot of good information on how to do an upper body workout for women online, and by trying one of these, you will save money and get more immediate results.

Good luck!

The Best Way to Reduce Post-Workout Soreness.

When you add an extra mile onto your run or decide to lift the heavier weights, you expect to feel the burn the next day—but your post-workout recovery doesn’t have to be so painful: Drinking watermelon juice can help minimize soreness after a workout, according to a new study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.
For the study, researchers recruited seven men and had them complete a cycling routine on three different days. On two of the days, they were instructed to drink watermelon juice an hour before working out. On the third day, they had a pink-colored placebo drink prior to hitting the gym.
Twenty-four hours after the exercises, many of the participants reported having sore muscles—but they said they felt significantly less achy on the days after they had consumed the watermelon juice.
How does watermelon juice reduce soreness? It contains an amino acid called L-citrulline, which boosts blood flow—so drinking it may help your muscles get more oxygen, which means they can repair themselves faster, says study author Encarna Aguayo, PhD, associate professor of food technology at the Technical University of Cartagena.
Thirsty yet? Throw watermelon chunks into a blender to create a DIY juice, or add some to your go-to smoothie. For best results, aim to get a little more than two cups of watermelon juice before your most intense workouts (that’s how much the study participants drank).
